Phosphorescent’s SONG FOR ZULA

Phosphorescent is the working moniker of American singer-songwriter Matthew Houck, originally from Alabama but currently based in Brooklyn, New York. He used to play under the name “Fillup Shack” and self-released his album “Hipolit” in 2000.

SONG FOR ZULA is from Phosphorescent’s current album “Muchacho” and WOLVES is from 2007’s album “Pride” which was used in the 2001 film “Margin Call” starring Kevin Spacey and Jeremy Irons.

I like Song For Zula because it has a U2 / Kings of Leon feel to it and I picked Wolves because the lyrics have a winterly feel to me.
